Villa Carlotta is a historical villa located in Tremezzo, on the western shore of Lake Como in Italy. It was built in the late 17th century for the marquis of Belgioioso, and later passed to the marchese Giorgio Clerici. In the 19th century, it was purchased by Princess Marianne of Nassau and was transformed into a museum.
The villa boasts an extensive collection of art and sculptures, including works by Antonio Canova, Camillo Pacetti and Giovanni Battista Bagutti. Its gardens are also renowned for their beauty, featuring a range of exotic plants, azaleas, camellias, and magnolias, as well as a number of beautiful fountains and a large lake.
Visitors to the villa can enjoy guided tours of the property, as well as access to its gardens and museum. The villa is also a popular venue for events, such as concerts and exhibitions, and is a popular tourist destination in the Lake Como area.
