Lago di Resia is a lake located in the Italian Alps in the province of South Tyrol, near the border with Switzerland. It is a popular tourist destination known for its scenic beauty and its distinctive bell tower, which rises from the middle of the lake and is the only remaining structure of an ancient church that was submerged when the lake was created for hydroelectric purposes in the 1950s.
The lake is surrounded by stunning mountain scenery and is a popular spot for hiking, swimming, and boating. In the winter, the lake is transformed into a winter wonderland, with snow-capped peaks and frozen waters offering a unique and picturesque experience.
Visitors can take a leisurely walk around the lake or take a boat tour to get a closer look at the bell tower. In the nearby town of Curon Venosta, there are also several restaurants and shops where visitors can sample local cuisine and buy souvenirs.
