La Cascade des Tufs is a natural site located in the Jura mountains in eastern France. It is a unique and beautiful waterfall that has been formed over centuries by the waters of the river Cuisance. What makes this waterfall special is the fact that it is surrounded by lush green vegetation and cascading tufa formations that have been created by the sedimentary deposits of the river water.
The waterfall is about 30 meters high and its water falls into a pool that is surrounded by cliffs covered with moss and ferns. Visitors can access the waterfall via a hiking trail that leads through the forest and the limestone cliffs. The hike is about 2 kilometers long and takes about 30 minutes to complete.
The area surrounding the waterfall is a protected nature reserve, and visitors are asked to respect the natural environment by not leaving any litter or damaging any of the flora and fauna. The site is also home to a variety of wildlife, including birds, fish, and small mammals, and visitors are encouraged to observe them from a safe distance.
