Paris Zoological Park, also known as the Zoo de Vincennes, is a popular zoological garden located in the Bois de Vincennes in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, France. Originally opened in 1934, the zoo underwent a major renovation and reopened in 2014. The zoo covers an area of 36 acres and is home to over 2,000 animals from 180 different species.
The park is divided into five different zones: Patagonia, Sahel-Sudan, Europe, Guyana, and Madagascar. Each zone represents a different region of the world and features animals and habitats specific to those areas. Some of the most popular animals at the zoo include lions, tigers, giraffes, elephants, and hippos.
In addition to traditional zoo exhibits, the park also features a large aquarium, a tropical rainforest exhibit, and a nocturnal animal exhibit. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of activities, such as feeding the giraffes, attending animal shows, and taking a train ride through the park.
The zoo is committed to conservation and education, with a particular focus on protecting endangered species. It participates in over 50 different European and international breeding programs and works closely with a number of conservation organizations.
