Palma Aquarium is a marine park and aquarium located in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. It opened in 2007 and has since become one of the most popular tourist attractions on the island. The aquarium covers an area of 55,000 square feet and features more than 8,000 animals from 700 different species.
The aquarium is organized into several different exhibits, each showcasing a unique marine environment. These include the Mediterranean Garden, the Big Blue, the Blacktip Reef, the Jungle, and the Sea Grass Meadows. Visitors can see a variety of marine animals such as sharks, rays, sea turtles, octopuses, jellyfish, and many more.
Palma Aquarium is also dedicated to the conservation of marine life, and has several initiatives in place to promote awareness and protect marine ecosystems. The aquarium has a rescue and rehabilitation center for sea turtles, and participates in research programs to study and protect marine species.
In addition to the exhibits, Palma Aquarium also offers a variety of interactive experiences for visitors. Guests can participate in a behind-the-scenes tour, swim with sea lions or sharks, or take a glass-bottom boat ride to get a unique perspective on the aquarium's exhibits.
