Palazzo della Pilotta is a palace complex located in the city of Parma, Italy. The palace was originally built in the 16th century as a residence for the Farnese family, who were the rulers of the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza. Today, it is a museum complex that houses a number of museums, galleries, and theaters.

The palace is made up of several buildings, the most important of which is the Palazzo Grande. This building was designed by the architect Jacopo Barozzi da Vignola and was completed in 1583. It is an impressive example of Renaissance architecture, with a façade that is adorned with numerous decorative elements, such as pilasters, arches, and sculptures.

Inside Palazzo della Pilotta, visitors can explore a number of museums and galleries, including the National Gallery, which houses a collection of paintings from the 14th to the 18th centuries, the Archaeological Museum, which contains artifacts from the Roman and Etruscan periods, and the Museum of Bodoni, which is dedicated to the life and work of the famous typographer, Giambattista Bodoni.

In addition to the museums and galleries, Palazzo della Pilotta also contains several theaters, including the Teatro Farnese, which is one of the oldest wooden theaters in the world. The theater was built in 1618 and was designed by the architect Giovanni Battista Aleotti. It is an impressive example of Baroque architecture and is renowned for its stunning ceiling frescoes.
