The National Aquarium Baltimore is a non-profit public aquarium located in the Inner Harbor area of Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It opened in 1981 and is considered one of the top aquariums in the country, attracting over 1.5 million visitors annually.
The aquarium houses over 20,000 animals from more than 800 species in various exhibits, ranging from the Atlantic Coral Reef to the Amazon River Forest. Some of the most popular exhibits include the Jellies Invasion, where visitors can observe different species of jellyfish; Shark Alley, where visitors can get up close with different types of sharks and rays; and the Dolphin Discovery, where visitors can watch Atlantic bottlenose dolphins perform and learn about their behavior.
The National Aquarium also hosts a variety of educational programs, including interactive animal encounters, marine-themed sleepovers, and guided tours.
