Monteriggioni is a medieval walled town located in the province of Siena, Tuscany, Italy. The town was built in the 13th century by the Sienese to fortify their northern border against Florence. The town's walls are its main feature, with fourteen towers and two gates that still stand today. The walls form an almost perfect circle with a circumference of 570 meters, and a walkway on top provides views of the surrounding countryside.

Within the walls, the town is relatively small and consists of a main street lined with shops, a central piazza, and the Church of Santa Maria Assunta. The piazza is surrounded by medieval buildings and has a 13th-century Romanesque church at one end. The church features a 14th-century triptych and frescoes from the Sienese school.

Monteriggioni has been well-preserved over the centuries and is a popular tourist destination. In addition to the town itself, visitors can also enjoy hiking trails in the surrounding countryside, including the Via Francigena, an ancient pilgrimage route that runs through Tuscany. There are also several vineyards in the area that produce Chianti wine.
