The Hermitage of Sant'Onofrio al Morrone is a small church and hermitage located on the slopes of Mount Morrone, near the town of Sulmona in the Abruzzo region of Italy. It is dedicated to Saint Onofrio, a hermit who lived in a cave on Mount Morrone during the 4th century.

The hermitage was founded in the 14th century by Pietro da Morrone, who later became Pope Celestine V. He chose the site for its solitude and natural beauty, and he lived there as a hermit before his election to the papacy. After his abdication, he returned to the hermitage and lived there until his death in 1296.

The hermitage is built into the rock face of the mountain and is accessed by a narrow path that winds up the mountain. The church is a simple stone structure with a small bell tower and frescoes from the 15th and 16th centuries. The interior is decorated with frescoes of saints and scenes from the life of Saint Onofrio.

Today, the hermitage is still used by hermits and visitors who come to pray and reflect in the peaceful surroundings. It is also a popular destination for hikers and tourists who come to enjoy the natural beauty of the mountain and the surrounding countryside.
