Govone Castle, or Castello di Govone in Italian, is a historical palace located in the municipality of Govone in the Piedmont region of Italy. It is situated on a hilltop in the center of the village and is surrounded by a vast garden, which includes a vineyard and orchard.

The castle was originally built in the 13th century as a watchtower to defend the region from attacks. Over the centuries, it was enlarged and transformed into a palace by the noble families who owned it. The castle has been used as a royal residence since the 18th century and has been visited by members of the House of Savoy, including King Charles Albert of Sardinia and King Vittorio Emanuele III.

The palace has a neoclassical façade and houses a museum that showcases the history of the castle and the surrounding region. The interior features frescoes, stuccos, and decorations from different eras, including Baroque, Rococo, and Neoclassical. Visitors can explore the state rooms, the library, and the chapel, which are all decorated with priceless artworks and furniture.

The garden of the castle is also worth visiting. It was designed in the 18th century and features a variety of plants, fountains, and statues. The vineyard produces the famous Barbera d'Asti wine, which visitors can taste in the wine cellar. The castle is open to visitors year-round, and there are guided tours available in multiple languages.
