The Gardens of Augustus are a botanical garden located in the town of Capri on the island of Capri, Italy. The gardens were created in the early 1900s by the German industrialist Friedrich Alfred Krupp, and are named after Emperor Augustus who first visited Capri in 29 BC.
The gardens offer panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including the Faraglioni rock formations and the Bay of Marina Piccola. The garden is adorned with colorful flowers, including geraniums, dahlias, and marigolds, as well as various Mediterranean flora.
One of the most iconic features of the garden is the scenic overlook known as the "terrace of the infinity," which offers visitors stunning views of the sea and the cliffs of Capri. There is also a scenic walkway, known as the "Via Krupp," that leads from the gardens to the Marina Piccola beach.
