The United States Capitol is the home of the United States Congress and the seat of the legislative branch of the federal government. It is located in Washington, D.C. and was completed in 1800. The building has undergone several expansions and renovations over the years and is now one of the most recognizable symbols of American democracy.

The United States Capitol is a magnificent example of neoclassical architecture and features a central dome, grand staircases, and ornate chambers. Visitors can tour the building and see the historic chambers of the House of Representatives and the Senate, as well as the offices of the Speaker of the House and the Majority and Minority Leaders.

In addition to its historic significance, the United States Capitol is also known for its artwork and sculptures, including the famous frescoes in the Rotunda and the sculptures of famous American figures, such as George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Thomas Jefferson.
