Tian Shan, also known as the Tengri Tagh or Heavenly Mountains, is a mountain range located in Central Asia, spanning across several countries including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Xinjiang region of China. It is one of the world's longest mountain ranges and has a length of over 2,800 kilometers.
The range is home to several peaks that rise to over 7,000 meters, including Jengish Chokusu, which is the highest peak in the range and the second-highest peak in Central Asia. The Tian Shan also features numerous glaciers and rivers that provide important water resources to the region.
The area is also a center of biodiversity, with a variety of ecosystems and species, including the endangered snow leopard, as well as rare plants and flowers. The Tian Shan is also an important cultural and historical site, with evidence of human habitation dating back over 2,000 years.
