Ripley's Aquarium of Canada is a public aquarium located in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is one of three aquariums owned and operated by Ripley Entertainment, along with its sister attractions in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
The aquarium opened its doors to the public in 2013 and is home to over 16,000 animals from 450 different species. It features a variety of exhibits, including a Canadian Waters exhibit, which showcases the country's diverse aquatic life, and a Dangerous Lagoon exhibit, where visitors can walk through a glass tunnel surrounded by sharks, sea turtles, and other marine animals.
The aquarium also offers a range of interactive experiences, such as a touch tank where visitors can get up close and personal with various aquatic creatures, and a Dive Show where divers feed the animals while providing educational commentary.
Ripley's Aquarium of Canada is a popular tourist attraction, drawing in millions of visitors annually. It is also a member of the Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums (CAZA), which promotes the welfare of animals in captivity and the conservation of their wild counterparts.
