Mealt Falls is a scenic waterfall located on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. The waterfall cascades down a 55-meter cliff and drops directly into the sea below. The viewpoint for the falls is located on the eastern side of the Trotternish Peninsula and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape, including Kilt Rock and the Isle of Raasay.
Mealt Falls is fed by the Mealt Loch, which is located near the top of the cliffs. During heavy rainfall, the volume of water flowing over the cliff can increase dramatically, creating a spectacular display of water and mist.
The waterfall is easily accessible by a short walk from the nearby car park. There is also a visitor center and a restaurant located nearby, offering visitors the opportunity to learn more about the local history and culture while enjoying a meal or a snack with a breathtaking view of the falls.
