Lake Tritriva is a crater lake located in the central highlands of Madagascar. It is situated in the Vakinankaratra region, around 30 km southwest of Antsirabe, the third-largest city in the country. The lake is located at an altitude of about 1,800 meters above sea level and is surrounded by a scenic landscape of rolling hills, green forests, and farmland.

Lake Tritriva was formed by a volcanic eruption that occurred over 10,000 years ago. The lake is approximately 200 meters in diameter and has a depth of around 80 meters. The lake is known for its crystal-clear blue-green water, which is a result of the high levels of minerals and volcanic gases that are dissolved in it.

The lake is considered a sacred site by the local people, and there are several myths and legends associated with it. According to one of the legends, the lake is home to a serpent-like creature called "Reny," which is said to be the guardian of the lake. It is believed that the creature is friendly and can bring good luck to those who visit the lake.

Lake Tritriva is a popular tourist destination in Madagascar, and visitors can enjoy various activities such as hiking, birdwatching, and fishing. There is also a small restaurant located near the lake that serves local cuisine. The lake is accessible by car or on foot, and there are several hiking trails that lead to the lake from nearby villages.
