Fisher Towers are a series of towering sandstone formations located near Moab, Utah, in the United States. These towering structures are made of red rock that rises dramatically from the surrounding landscape. They are located along the Colorado River, and the tallest tower in the group reaches a height of 900 feet (274 meters).
The Fisher Towers are a popular destination for rock climbers and hikers, with a variety of trails leading through the formations. The towers are also popular for scenic drives and photography, with several overlooks offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
The towers were named after a miner who lived in the area in the early 20th century, and were first climbed in the 1950s by a group of climbers from Colorado. Today, the towers are protected as part of the Fishers Towers National Scenic Area, which covers over 4,000 acres (16 square kilometers) and offers visitors a chance to experience the beauty and grandeur of these unique geological formations.
