Bergamo is a city located in Lombardy, northern Italy. It is situated about 40 kilometers northeast of Milan and is divided into two main areas: Città Alta (upper city) and Città Bassa (lower city). Città Alta is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and features stunning medieval and Renaissance architecture, including the Piazza Vecchia and the 12th-century Bergamo Cathedral.
