The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Montmartre, also known as the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur, is a Roman Catholic basilica located at the top of the Montmartre Hill in Paris, France. It was built between 1875 and 1914 as a symbol of national penitence following the Franco-Prussian War and the Paris Commune. The church is one of the most recognizable landmarks of Paris and offers stunning views of the city from its terrace.

The basilica is designed in the Romano-Byzantine style, with a white exterior made of travertine stone and a large dome. The interior of the church is decorated with mosaics, frescoes, and stained glass windows that depict scenes from the life of Christ and the saints.

The Basilica of the Sacred Heart is also known for its tower and bronze statue of Christ, which stand at the entrance to the church. The church attracts millions of tourists and pilgrims each year, and is considered one of the most important pilgrimage sites in France. Visitors can attend mass, participate in religious services, or simply admire the architecture and art of this magnificent basilica.
