The Basilica di Superga is a beautiful Baroque-style basilica located on the hill of Superga, about 10 km east of Turin, Italy. It was built in the early 18th century to fulfill a vow made by the Duke of Savoy during the War of the Spanish Succession, in which he promised to build a church if Turin were saved from French troops.

The basilica was designed by the architect Filippo Juvarra, who combined elements of the Baroque and Classical styles. Its prominent dome, which can be seen from miles around, is the symbol of the city of Turin. The interior of the basilica is lavishly decorated with frescoes, paintings, and sculptures by some of the most famous artists of the time, including Luigi Prinotti, Pietro Filippo Baratta, and Giovanni Battista Crosato.

The basilica is also home to the tombs of the House of Savoy, one of the most important royal families in Europe. The tombs are located in a crypt beneath the main altar, and include those of Victor Amadeus II, the founder of the church, and his descendants.
