The Arc de Triomphe is a monumental arch located in Paris, France, at the western end of the Champs-Élysées. It was commissioned by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1806 to commemorate his victories, and completed in 1836. The arch stands 50 meters tall, 45 meters wide, and 22 meters deep. It features four monumental sculptures representing Peace, War, the Resistance and the Departure of the Volunteers. The names of some of France's most important battles and the names of military leaders are inscribed on the walls of the monument. The Arc de Triomphe is one of the most famous landmarks of Paris and a symbol of French military power and national pride. It is a popular tourist destination and a site for major events, including military parades, commemorations and concerts.
