Wave Rock is a natural rock formation located in Western Australia, near the small town of Hyden. It is a popular tourist destination due to its unique appearance, which resembles a large ocean wave about to crash. The rock is approximately 14 meters high, 110 meters long, and 30 meters wide, and is made up of granite that has been shaped over millions of years by wind and rain.

One of the unique features of Wave Rock is its vibrant red color, which is caused by the presence of iron oxide in the rock. This red hue is most prominent in the early morning and late afternoon, when the sun is at a low angle and illuminates the rock's surface.

Wave Rock is considered to be a sacred site by the local Indigenous community, who have a long history of cultural and spiritual connections to the land. The rock is also an important geological site, providing valuable insights into the geological processes that shaped the region over millions of years.
