Vieste is a town located in the province of Foggia in the Apulia region of southern Italy. It is situated on the eastern coast of the Gargano peninsula, overlooking the Adriatic Sea.

Vieste is known for its beautiful beaches, clear waters, and rugged cliffs. One of the most famous landmarks in the town is the Pizzomunno rock formation, a tall, white limestone monolith that rises from the sea.

The historic center of Vieste is characterized by narrow streets and white-washed houses with colorful shutters. The town has a medieval castle, a 14th-century cathedral, and several churches, including the Church of St. Francis of Assisi and the Church of the Madonna della Libera.

Vieste is also a popular destination for outdoor activities such as hiking and biking in the nearby Foresta Umbra, a dense forest that covers much of the Gargano National Park. Boat tours are also available for visitors who want to explore the beautiful coastline and nearby sea caves.

In addition to its natural beauty and historical landmarks, Vieste is also known for its local cuisine, which includes fresh seafood dishes, olive oil, and wine from the surrounding vineyards. The town also hosts several festivals throughout the year, including the Feast of St. George in April and the Feast of the Assumption in August.
