The University of Mumbai is one of the oldest and premier universities in India, located in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It was established in 1857 as the University of Bombay and is one of the first three universities in India. The university has two campuses - the Kalina Campus and the Fort Campus, spread across an area of 243 acres.

The University of Mumbai offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various fields, including arts, science, commerce, law, management, and engineering. The Rajabai Clock Tower, located in the Fort Campus, is an iconic landmark and one of the tallest clock towers in India. The university also has a library system consisting of the central library and several departmental libraries, with a collection of over 4,00,000 books, journals, and other resources.
