St. Patrick's Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral located in midtown Manhattan, New York City. The cathedral was completed in 1878 and designed by James Renwick Jr. in the Gothic Revival style. It is the seat of the Archbishop of New York, and is considered a prominent example of American religious architecture.

St. Patrick's Cathedral is located on Fifth Avenue, across from Rockefeller Center and a few blocks from Central Park. The cathedral is open to visitors daily, and offers guided tours, as well as daily mass and other religious services.

The cathedral features a number of notable architectural and artistic elements, including stained glass windows, marble altars, and the Pieta statue by artist William Ordway Partridge. The cathedral's impressive pipe organ features over 7,000 pipes, and is used in various musical performances throughout the year.

St. Patrick's Cathedral has also played an important role in New York City's history, hosting numerous high-profile events such as the funeral of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and a visit by Pope Francis in 2015. The cathedral continues to be an important symbol of New York City and a popular destination for both tourists and locals.
