The Royal Automobile Museum is a museum in Amman, Jordan, dedicated to the history of transportation and automobiles in particular. It was opened in 2003 and contains over 70 vehicles from the collection of King Hussein of Jordan. The museum is located in King Hussein Park and was designed by architects Ammar Khammash and Abeer Seikaly.
The museum's collection includes cars, motorcycles, trucks, buses, and other forms of transportation. Some of the vehicles on display are rare and historically significant, such as the first car ever owned by King Hussein, a 1916 Cadillac, and the Lincoln Continental that was used by King Abdullah II during his coronation.
The museum also features exhibits on the history of transportation in Jordan and the role of automobiles in the country's development. Visitors can see displays on the construction of roads and highways, the introduction of the first taxi cabs, and the use of cars in the military.
In addition to the exhibits, the Royal Automobile Museum offers a range of services and activities for visitors. There is a gift shop selling souvenirs and memorabilia, a café serving refreshments and light meals, and a playground for children. The museum also hosts special events and activities, including car shows, concerts, and cultural festivals.
