The Pyramid of the Niches is an ancient Mesoamerican pyramid located in the El Tajín archaeological site in Veracruz, Mexico. The pyramid is believed to have been constructed around 600 AD by the Totonac people and stands at about 18 meters tall.

What makes the Pyramid of the Niches unique is its architectural style, which features seven terraces and niches on each level. The niches, which are small rectangular spaces, were likely used for offerings and were decorated with sculptures and other ornamental elements. The pyramid's design also includes a central staircase and a platform at the top.

The pyramid is considered to be one of the most important structures in the El Tajín site and is often regarded as a masterpiece of Mesoamerican architecture. Its significance is further highlighted by the fact that it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. Today, the Pyramid of the Niches remains an important cultural and historical landmark in Mexico and draws visitors from around the world.
