Ponte 516 Arouca, also known as the Arouca 516 or 516 Arouca Suspension Bridge, is a pedestrian suspension bridge located in the town of Arouca, in northern Portugal. It is named 516 after its length of 516 meters (1,693 feet) and is considered the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world.

The bridge was opened to the public on May 3, 2021, and provides breathtaking views of the Paiva River and the surrounding landscape. It is suspended 175 meters (574 feet) above the river, and its construction took two years to complete.

The bridge is made of steel cables and a grid-like metal walkway, with a capacity to hold up to 1,000 people at a time. It is supported by two large towers and provides visitors with a unique perspective of the gorge below. The design of the bridge was inspired by the Inca rope bridges found in South America.

Visitors must wear a safety harness while crossing the bridge, and access is restricted during bad weather conditions. The Arouca 516 has quickly become a popular tourist attraction, drawing visitors from all over the world to experience the thrill of walking across one of the longest pedestrian suspension bridges ever built.
