Piazza Liberta is a large square located in the heart of Udine, a city in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeastern Italy. It is considered the central square of the city and is surrounded by historic buildings, including the impressive Loggia del Lionello and the Torre dell'Orologio, or Clock Tower.

The square was created in the early 19th century by demolishing several old buildings, including a church, to make way for a larger open space. It was designed in a neoclassical style and is characterized by its symmetrical layout, with several roads converging at the center of the square.

Piazza Liberta is a popular spot for tourists and locals alike, and is surrounded by numerous shops, restaurants, and cafes. It is also the site of several cultural events throughout the year, including music festivals and outdoor markets. The square provides easy access to other important sites in the city, such as the Castle of Udine and the Cathedral of Santa Maria Annunziata.
