Nairobi National Park is a protected area located in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. It was established in 1946, becoming Kenya's first national park and one of the first in Africa. The park covers an area of about 117.2 square kilometers and is located just a few kilometers south of the city center.

Nairobi National Park is unique in that it is one of the few national parks in the world located within a major city. The park is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including large herds of wildebeest, zebra, and buffalo, as well as giraffes, lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. More than 400 species of birds have been recorded in the park, making it a popular destination for birdwatchers.

The landscape of Nairobi National Park is diverse and includes grassy plains, forests, and riverine habitats. The park is also home to a number of important landmarks, including the Ivory Burning Site Monument, which commemorates the burning of confiscated elephant tusks in 1989 to raise awareness about the ivory trade.

Visitors to Nairobi National Park can take guided tours, game drives, and nature walks to explore the park and its wildlife. The park also has picnic sites and campsites for visitors who wish to spend more time in the park.
