The Mtskheta Monastery, also known as Jvari Monastery, is a Georgian Orthodox Christian monastic complex located in Mtskheta, Georgia. The site is of great historical and cultural significance, as it is considered one of the earliest centers of Christianity in the country and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The Jvari Monastery was built in the 6th century and is believed to have been constructed on the site where St. Nino, an important figure in the spread of Christianity in Georgia, erected a wooden cross. The current stone church was built in the 7th century and features a unique architectural style, combining elements of Georgian and Byzantine architecture.

The Jvari Monastery is known for its stunning views of the nearby city of Mtskheta and the surrounding landscape, as well as its well-preserved frescoes and intricate stone carvings. The site is considered one of the most important religious and cultural landmarks in Georgia and attracts thousands of visitors each year.
