The Machines of the Isle of Nantes (Les Machines de l'Île) is an extraordinary project in the city of Nantes, located in western France. It is a fantastic combination of mechanical engineering, art and entertainment that features huge, mechanical sculptures inspired by the natural world, science fiction, and the fantasies of author Jules Verne.

The Machines of the Isle are located in a former shipyard, and the project is focused around a giant workshop that resembles a shipyard, but instead of boats, it is filled with fantastic mechanical creatures such as the Great Elephant, which is a mechanical elephant that carries up to 50 passengers on its back, and the Heron Tree, which is a three-level structure featuring a number of mechanical birds, insects and other creatures.

Other notable Machines include the Giant Spider, the Sea Serpent, the Dragonfly, and the Ants. Visitors can interact with many of the Machines, such as the Elephant, and even take rides on some of them.

The Machines of the Isle also include a museum dedicated to the work of Jules Verne, as well as other exhibits and installations that celebrate the fusion of art, science, and technology. It is a unique and fascinating attraction that attracts visitors from all over the world.
