Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, also known as the Kiev Monastery of the Caves, is a historic Orthodox Christian monastery complex in Kyiv, Ukraine. It was founded in the 11th century and is one of the oldest monasteries in Eastern Europe. The complex includes several churches, bell towers, and monastic buildings, as well as a large underground network of caves, which house the remains of numerous saints and other important figures in Orthodox history.
