Kvetera Church, also known as the Church of the Dormition of the Mother of God, is a medieval Georgian Orthodox church located in the region of Samegrelo in western Georgia. The church was built in the 8th-9th century AD, during the reign of King Gurgen of Abkhazia.
The church is a small domed basilica and features many unique architectural elements such as the decorative stone reliefs on the exterior walls and the intricate brickwork around the windows. The interior of the church is adorned with beautiful frescoes depicting scenes from the life of Jesus and the Virgin Mary, as well as Georgian saints.
