The Jameh Mosque of Isfahan, also known as the Friday Mosque of Isfahan, is a historical mosque located in the center of Isfahan, Iran. It is one of the largest and oldest mosques in Iran and is considered to be one of the most important architectural and cultural landmarks of the city. The mosque was built in various phases from the 8th to the 18th century, and its architecture is a combination of different styles, including Seljuk, Timurid, and Safavid.
The Jameh Mosque features a large central courtyard surrounded by a series of arcaded iwans (large hall-like structures), which are connected to each other by a series of galleries. The main prayer hall is located on the western side of the courtyard and is covered by a large dome. The mosque also includes several minarets, which are tall, slender towers used for calling the faithful to prayer.
