Ivrea is a town and comune in the Piedmont region of northwest Italy, situated on the eastern slope of the Valle d'Aosta, known for its industrial heritage, architectural beauty, and cultural events. The town has a population of around 24,000 inhabitants and is located about 50 kilometers northeast of Turin.

One of the main landmarks of Ivrea is the medieval castle which dominates the old town center. The castle, also known as the Castello Sforzesco di Ivrea, was built in the 14th century and played a significant role in the history of the town, serving as a military stronghold and residence for the ruling lords.

The former Olivetti factory buildings have been repurposed as cultural and commercial spaces, and the company's legacy is celebrated in the town's Museo Civico di Scienze Naturali e Archeologia.
