Fløibanen is a funicular railway in Bergen, Norway. It is one of Bergen's major tourist attractions and a popular means of transportation for locals, as it takes passengers from the city center to the top of Mount Fløyen in just a few minutes.

The funicular railway was opened in 1918 and has been in operation ever since. It runs up a steep incline for a distance of 850 meters, with a maximum gradient of 26 degrees. The ride takes about seven minutes, during which passengers can enjoy breathtaking views of Bergen and the surrounding mountains.

At the top of Mount Fløyen, there is a wide range of activities for visitors to enjoy. There are several hiking trails that lead through the surrounding forest, as well as a playground for children and a souvenir shop. The area is also popular with paragliders, who launch from the summit and soar over the city.

The view from the top of Mount Fløyen is considered one of the most beautiful in Norway, and on clear days it is possible to see as far as the Hardangerfjord, some 100 kilometers away. The funicular railway operates year-round, and in the winter months it is a popular destination for skiing and other winter sports.
