Yu Garden, also known as the Garden of Happiness, is a classical Chinese garden located in the heart of Shanghai, China. It was built during the Ming Dynasty in the 16th century by a government officer named Pan Yunduan for his parents. The garden was originally named the "Yu Yuan," which means "Garden of Peace and Comfort."

Yu Garden is known for its beautiful rock formations, colorful pavilions, small lakes, and traditional Chinese architecture. The garden is divided into six main areas: Sansui Hall, Wanhua Chamber, Dianchun Hall, Huijing Hall, Yuhua Hall, and the Inner Garden.

Sansui Hall is the main entrance to the garden, and it features a large rockery that is over 14 meters tall. Wanhua Chamber is the largest hall in the garden and is home to the famous Jade Rock, which is a large boulder that is said to have been carved during the Ming Dynasty.

Huijing Hall is a small hall that is surrounded by water, and it is known for its beautiful lotus flowers. Yuhua Hall is a large hall that features a double-eaved roof, and it is used for traditional Chinese performances and exhibitions.

The Inner Garden is a secluded area that is located in the back of the garden, and it features a beautiful rockery and a small lake. Visitors can also see traditional Chinese architecture, such as the "Three Lanes and Seven Alleys" and the "Nine-Bend Zigzag Bridge" in the garden.
