The Würzburg Residence is a palace located in the city of Würzburg, Germany. It was built in the 18th century by the prince-bishops of Würzburg and is one of the most important Baroque palaces in Europe. The palace was designed by the architect Balthasar Neumann and is considered one of his masterpieces.

The Würzburg Residence features a large central staircase that is considered a work of art in itself. The ceiling of the staircase is adorned with frescoes by the Italian artist Giovanni Battista Tiepolo, which are among his most famous works. The palace also has a large number of other artworks and decorations, including sculptures, paintings, and tapestries.

The palace is surrounded by beautiful gardens that were also designed by Neumann. The gardens feature a large fountain, a greenhouse, and many sculptures. In 1981, the Würzburg Residence was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in recognition of its importance as a cultural landmark. Today, the palace is open to the public and is a popular tourist destination in Germany.
