The Pearl-Qatar is a man-made island located in the municipality of Al-Daayen in Qatar, just off the eastern coast of the country's capital, Doha. The project was developed by United Development Company (UDC), one of Qatar's largest real estate developers, and was completed in 2018.
The Pearl-Qatar is designed to be a luxurious residential and tourist destination, featuring a combination of Mediterranean, Arabic, and Venetian architecture. The island spans over 4 million square meters and includes residential buildings, hotels, retail outlets, restaurants, and entertainment facilities.
The island features several marinas, with more than 1,200 berths for yachts, and a number of public beaches. The Pearl-Qatar also has its own central air conditioning plant, wastewater treatment plant, and power generation facilities, making it largely self-sufficient.
In addition to its residential and tourism offerings, The Pearl-Qatar also serves as a center for business and commerce, with several office buildings located on the island. The development has been recognized with several international awards for its innovative design and sustainability practices.
