The Swiss National Museum (Landesmuseum) is the largest cultural and historical museum in Switzerland, located in the city of Zurich. The museum displays exhibits that showcase the cultural and historical developments of Switzerland, from prehistoric times to the present day.

The Swiss National Museum consists of four wings: the Historic Museum, the Collection of Prints and Drawings, the National Museum Zurich North, and the Forum of Swiss History Schwyz. The Historic Museum is housed in a neo-Gothic castle that was built in the 19th century and includes exhibits on Swiss history, from the Stone Age to the 20th century. The Collection of Prints and Drawings is housed in a separate building and includes works by Swiss artists, including Picasso, Chagall, and Munch.

The National Museum Zurich North is a more contemporary building that showcases Swiss culture from the 18th century to the present day, including exhibits on fashion, design, and technology. The Forum of Swiss History Schwyz is located in the Canton of Schwyz and focuses on the history of the Swiss Confederation.

Some of the highlights of the Swiss National Museum include the Swiss Treasure Room, which contains a collection of medieval treasures, including the crown jewels of the Holy Roman Empire and the Swiss Confederation, as well as the Hall of Swiss History, which includes exhibits on the country's political, social, and economic history.

The Swiss National Museum also hosts temporary exhibitions throughout the year that cover a wide range of topics, including art, design, history, and culture. The museum is open daily and offers guided tours, audio guides, and educational programs for children and adults.
