Stockholm Palace, also known as the Royal Palace of Stockholm, is the official residence of the King of Sweden and one of Stockholm's most iconic landmarks. Located on the island of Stadsholmen in Gamla Stan, Stockholm's Old Town, the palace was built in the mid-18th century on the site of a former fortress.

The palace has over 600 rooms, including reception rooms, state apartments, and private apartments for the royal family. Visitors can explore many of these rooms, including the Royal Chapel, the Hall of State, and the Royal Apartments. The palace also houses several museums, including the Royal Armory, which displays armor and weapons used by Swedish monarchs over the centuries.

The changing of the guard ceremony takes place daily outside the palace at noon, and is a popular tourist attraction. The palace also hosts various royal events throughout the year, including state dinners, receptions, and other official functions.

In addition to its historical and cultural significance, Stockholm Palace is also an impressive architectural feat. Its Baroque-style facade features intricate detailing and ornate sculptures, and the palace is topped by a copper roof and a spire with a crown.
