Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden is a large park located in Tokyo, Japan. It covers an area of 58.3 hectares and is located just a short distance from Shinjuku Station. The garden was originally built as a residence for the Naito family during the Edo period and later became the property of the Imperial Family before being opened to the public in 1949.

Shinjuku Gyoen features three distinct garden styles: French Formal Garden, English Landscape Garden, and Japanese Traditional Garden. The French Formal Garden is characterized by its symmetrical layout and straight paths, while the English Landscape Garden features a more naturalistic design with meandering paths and lakes. The Japanese Traditional Garden features a tea house and traditional Japanese landscaping elements such as stone lanterns, bridges, and a koi pond.

In addition to its gardens, Shinjuku Gyoen also has a greenhouse that features a variety of tropical and subtropical plants, as well as a number of historic buildings such as a Taiwan Pavilion and an old Imperial Rest House.
