San Anton Palace is a historic palace located in Attard, Malta. The palace was built in 1623 by the Knights Hospitaller, as a summer residence for the Grand Master. It was later used as a residence for the British Governor of Malta, and in 1974 it became the official residence of the President of Malta.
San Anton Palace is set in beautiful gardens that cover an area of 150,000 square metres. The gardens include a variety of trees, flowers, and plants from all over the world, as well as several fountains, ponds, and a small zoo. The palace itself is an impressive building with a grand entrance and a large central courtyard.
Today, San Anton Palace is used for a variety of official functions, including state dinners, meetings with foreign dignitaries, and the presentation of credentials by ambassadors. The palace is open to the public on certain days of the year, and visitors can explore the gardens and some of the palace's interior rooms.
