The Pyramids of Xi'an are located in the city of Xi'an, in Shaanxi Province. They are also known as the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor and are one of the most important archaeological sites in China. The complex consists of several pyramids, including the famous Terracotta Army.
The pyramids were built during the Qin Dynasty, between 246 BC and 208 BC. The first emperor of the Qin Dynasty, Qin Shi Huang, ordered the construction of the pyramids as his tomb. The largest pyramid, known as the Great Pyramid, is more than 70 meters tall and covers an area of more than 2 square kilometers.
The Terracotta Army was also discovered in the same complex. It consists of more than 8,000 life-size terracotta soldiers and horses that were buried with the emperor to protect him in the afterlife.
