Our Lady of the Rocks, or Gospa od Skrpjela in Montenegrin, is a small man-made island located in the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro. It is a popular tourist attraction due to its beautiful location and interesting history.

The island was created in the 15th century by seamen from Perast, a nearby town. According to legend, the seamen found an image of the Virgin Mary on a small rock in the bay, and they decided to build a church on the same spot. Over the years, the church was expanded and embellished with artwork and relics.

The island and the church were destroyed several times over the years, but each time they were rebuilt and restored. Today, the church is home to a museum that houses a collection of paintings, silver votive tablets, and other treasures.

Visitors to Our Lady of the Rocks can take a boat ride from Perast to the island and explore the church and museum. The island offers stunning views of the Bay of Kotor and the surrounding mountains. Every year on July 22, a traditional festival is held on the island to honor the patron saint of seamen. During the festival, local fishermen sail their boats around the island and throw stones into the water to expand its surface.
