The Monument Ali and Nino is a sculpture located in Batumi, Georgia. It was erected in 2010 and designed by a Georgian artist Tamara Kvesitadze. The sculpture is made of steel and consists of two figures: a man named Ali and a woman named Nino.
The figures move towards each other, then pass through each other, and then move away from each other. The movements are controlled by a computer program that regulates the movements of the figures based on the time of day, weather, and the number of people around the monument. The figures symbolize the love story of Ali and Nino, the main characters in a famous novel of the same name by Azerbaijani author Kurban Said.
The monument is located on the seaside promenade and has become one of the symbols of Batumi. It attracts many tourists who come to see the unique sculpture and take photos with it.
