Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque, also known as the Blue Mosque, is a Sunni mosque located in the heart of Beirut, the capital city of Lebanon. It was completed in 2008 after 14 years of construction and was designed by the renowned architect Azmi Fakhouri.
The mosque's design is a fusion of Ottoman and modern architectural styles. Its blue-colored dome, which is made of fiberglass, is inspired by the Ottoman-style mosques, while its interior and exterior reflect modern Islamic design.
The mosque is known for its impressive size and grandeur. Its main prayer hall can accommodate up to 1,200 worshippers, and the mosque's overall capacity is around 5,000 people. The mosque also features a large courtyard, two minarets, and a dome that reaches a height of 48 meters.
In addition to its religious function, the Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque has become a popular tourist attraction in Beirut. Its central location in the city makes it easily accessible for visitors, and its beautiful architecture and design make it a must-see destination for architecture enthusiasts.
