Ming Xiaoling is the mausoleum of Zhu Yuanzhang, the founder of the Ming Dynasty. It is located in the eastern suburb of Nanjing, China. Construction of the mausoleum began in 1381 and was completed in 1405. The mausoleum is considered one of the finest examples of Ming Dynasty architecture and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Ming Xiaoling complex covers an area of about 46,000 square meters and includes several buildings and structures. The main entrance to the complex is the Great Golden Gate, a grand archway with three openings. The gate is flanked by two tall stone pillars with ornate carvings.

Beyond the Great Golden Gate is the Sacred Way, a path that leads to the mausoleum itself. The path is lined with statues of mythical beasts and officials, and is said to represent the journey from this world to the afterlife. The main tomb chamber is located at the end of the Sacred Way and is surrounded by walls and gates.

The main tomb chamber is a large underground room where the body of Zhu Yuanzhang is interred. The chamber is decorated with intricate carvings and frescoes, and contains a large stone sarcophagus that is said to weigh over 100 tons.

The Ming Xiaoling complex also includes several other buildings and structures, including the Lingxing Gate, the Stele Pavilion, and the Hall of Eminent Favor. The complex is surrounded by a beautiful forested area known as the Ming Xiaoling Scenic Area, which is a popular destination for visitors to Nanjing.
