The Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang is a vast funerary complex located in Lintong District, Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, China. It is the final resting place of Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of China, who reigned from 221 BC to 210 BC. The complex covers an area of over 56 square kilometers and includes several structures, including the famous Terracotta Army.

The construction of the Mausoleum began in 246 BC, shortly after Qin Shi Huang became the ruler of China. It took over 37 years to complete and involved the labor of hundreds of thousands of workers. The emperor spared no expense in creating his final resting place, and legend has it that he even ordered the execution of 720,000 workers to keep the location of the tomb a secret.

The Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered to be one of the most significant archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. The most famous feature of the complex is the Terracotta Army, which consists of over 8,000 life-size soldiers, horses, and chariots, each with unique facial features and clothing. The army was discovered in 1974 by local farmers digging a well, and excavation work has been ongoing ever since.
